Aluminium windows for the elevation that needs glass, not frame
Slimmer frames than uPVC can manage at the same span, in the same colour as your doors.
When aluminium is the right answer
Aluminium is stronger than uPVC, so the frame can be thinner for the same opening. On a large picture window, a first-floor gable or a tall stairwell light, that difference is the whole point: more glass, less white line, and no need for a transom to hold a big pane together.
It is also the right choice when the rear of the house has aluminium doors. Matching a bi-fold in RAL 7016 with a uPVC window in anthracite foil looks close in a brochure and obviously wrong in daylight.
