Most of it can be repaired
Misted glass, a door that catches, a handle that spins. Almost none of it needs a new window - and we will say so.
Why a repair division exists at all
A window company that only sells windows has one answer to every problem. We started Radley Repairs because too many people were being told they needed a full replacement when a simple hinge set would have fixed it - and because a house we fitted fifteen years ago should still be our responsibility.
We repair any make, not just our own. If the frame is sound, the repair is nearly always the right call. If it is not, we will show you why rather than assert it.
What we fix
Misted and blown units
The seal has failed, not the window. We measure, order the glass and swap it into the existing frame, usually within two weeks.
Dropped and catching doors
Hinge adjustment, packing or a new hinge set. A composite door that catches in July is generally a twenty-minute job.
Locks, handles and cylinders
Broken gearboxes, spinning handles and snapped cylinders - upgraded to a 3-star anti-snap cylinder where the door takes one.
Bi-fold and slider running gear
Rollers, tracks and alignment on any make of bi-fold or patio door, including ones we did not fit.
Hinges and friction stays
The commonest failure on a fifteen-year-old casement, and one of the simplest to put right.
Draughts and seals
Gasket replacement and adjustment, which fixes most of what people assume needs a whole new window.
