Bi-folds that still run with one finger in year ten
Two to seven panels on a single low track, opening in or out, with the whole opening usable in summer and weathertight in February.
The part the brochures skip
Every bi-fold looks identical when new. The difference shows in year five, and it comes down to three things: the accuracy of the survey, the quality of the running gear and whether the threshold was bedded dead level. Origin's rollers are rated for tens of thousands of cycles, but a track laid to a two-millimetre fall will still bind.
So we survey the opening, check the lintel and the substrate, and specify the threshold before the door. Low-level thresholds for level access need a drainage detail underneath; a standard threshold does not. Getting that decided at survey rather than on fitting day is the whole trick.

Two systems, two sightlines
Both are thermally broken aluminium, bottom running on sealed stainless bearings, in over 150 RAL colours. The difference is the sightline and the price.
OB-49 slimline bi-fold
49mm sash sightline, 110mm hingestile glass to glass, 75mm outer frame. The slimmest option, for when you want as much glass and as little frame as possible.
OB-72 bi-fold
72mm sash sightline, 154mm hingestile glass to glass, same 75mm outer frame. Slightly more frame, more forgiving on very large panels and on budget.
