Every installation produces offcuts: sheet material, timber battens, trims, the occasional sound glazed unit taken out of a frame that was being replaced for other reasons. Most window companies skip it. We keep a rack for it at Rabans Lane and it goes out to school design-technology departments, scout and guide groups and a couple of community gardens.
This year that has included staging for a primary school production, a rebuilt scout hut window and enough trim to finish a community allotment shed.
If you are running a project and could use material, call the showroom and tell us roughly what you need. Collection is easiest, but we can usually drop it off with a van that is already going that way.
